What did it truly mean to care for others? In this week’s sermon, Pastor Vince Parks reflected on the depth of authentic care—care that showed up, followed through, and reflected Christ’s love. Through personal stories, including a frantic moment in the delivery room and the compassion of a nurse’s aide, Vince connected these experiences to the Gospel of Mark, where friends lowered a paralyzed man through a roof to reach Jesus. True care, he reminded us, wasn’t convenient or occasional—it was persistent, prayerful, and deeply committed. It meant doing whatever it took to bring others closer to God’s mercy. The message invited us to respond to the call to care boldly and consistently in a world that needed it most.
