Matthew 9:20-22
Just then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak. She said to herself, “If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed.” Jesus turned and saw her. “Take heart, daughter,” he said, “your faith has healed you.” And the woman was healed at that moment.
I received a life altering health diagnosis in 2018. It was a diagnosis that almost broke my spirit. In the months that followed, I found myself reflecting and refocusing my life for a future that looked very different than the one of which I had dreamed.
I knew through my belief and faith in Jesus, He would be my healer and saving grace. If anyone could perform a miracle, it is the one and only Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior! I prayed and prayed hard for a miracle every single day.
Although I could not physically touch the garment of Jesus like the woman in today’s Bible passage, I could certainly use my voice and speak to Him. I watched as He began to heal me little by little. He was working a miracle in my life, and in the end, I was healed at last!
Through that painful season, I learned to seek Him first and watch as He performs healing miracles. Jesus’ words at the end of today’s Bible passage connect with me deeply. “Take heart, daughter, your faith has made you well.”
I’m so thankful for His miraculous healing in my life and the faith to keep trusting and praying.
Pray with me…
Good and faithful Father, You are always so good. When troubling times arise, You deliver healing and miracles. Help me to show others just how much You love them, even during difficult times. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
