Mark 8:23-25
He took the blind man by the hand and led him outside the village. When he had spit on the man’s eyes and put his hands on him, Jesus asked, “Do you see anything?” He looked up and said, “I see people; they look like trees walking around.” Once more Jesus put his hands on the man’s eyes. Then his eyes were opened, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly.
I am currently in sixth grade which means I’m getting closer to moving up into Student Ministry. I’m starting to wonder what life is going to be like as a teen.
Ever since I came to Salem two years ago, I have felt more connected to God than ever before. I have wondered why I feel this way. It’s like I feel more uplifted and can see clearer.
In the miracle I chose to write about, Jesus spat on a man’s eyes. The man could see, but people looked like trees. That’s like how my faith was blurry before I attended Salem.
When Jesus put His hands over the blind man’s eyes, everything became clear. It reminds me how I can see God more clearly now.
Sometimes, life can be hard or challenging. This Bible story shows me that even though the man was blind and had someone spit on him,he had faith to keep going, and Jesus helped him see perfectly.
As you continue trusting God and feeling more connected, you will see life more clearly even through the dark and challenging times.
Pray with me…
Heavenly Father, thank You for this miracle which reminds us to look to You to see more clearly. Help us to trust in You, even when things may be blurry or might not make sense to us. Amen.
