Christmas at Salem

Image
We use the word “wonderful” to describe many things.
  • “We had a wonderful vacation.”
  • “It was wonderful to see you again.”
  • “My birthday was wonderful!”
  • “We had some wonderful dessert options at Thanksgiving dinner.”
When it comes to things that truly make us full of wonder, the Christmas season might take the cake. Look into a child’s eyes as they stare at a fully decorated Christmas tree. Consider the wonder of anyone reaching for a wrapped present with their name on it. Think about the moment of holding a candle and singing “Silent Night.” Christmas time is wonderful!
During the season of Advent, we anticipate the wonder of celebrating the greatest gift ever given—our Savior Jesus. Some dub it the “most wonderful time of the year.” Because of the hope, peace, joy, love, and faith God gives us in Jesus, we agree.

2024 Advent Devotion

This year’s Advent devotional series is now available in the lobby as well as online here. The devotions begin on December 1st and conclude on Christmas Day. Each day features a devotional authored by a staff member and accompanied by artwork created by students in our school.

As with last year, we will provide daily text messages with links to our online devotional. To receive these messages, please text the word “DEVO” to the number 94000.

In addition, we have introduced a new feature. We will distribute an audio version of our devotions daily through our podcast feed. You can conveniently access each day’s devotion in your preferred podcast application. If you have not yet done so, we recommend subscribing to the Salem Podcast. Our podcast is available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, iHeart Radio, and YouTube. For further details, please visit salem4u.com/podcast.
